Asia Pacific Centre for Arbitration & Mediation (APCAM) has announced the 1st APCAM Summit during November 2022.
Asia-Pacific is the fastest growing economic region, as well as the largest continental economy in the world. Moreover, Asia is the site of some of the world’s biggest modern economic booms. With the globalisation of business, there has been an increasing level of cross-border disputes. The global business requirements along with other market developments have popularised non-litigious forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) methods like arbitration and mediation. But the ways of addressing conflict vary from country to country and region to region.
APCAM Summit, an annual flagship conference, is hosted by all the APCAM Centres from India, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Australia, Indonesia, Thailand, South Korea and Nepal. The Summit will bring together leading legal professionals and dispute resolution experts from across the world and Asia-Pacific region, providing participants a unique opportunity to explore and approach conflict resolution from a global mindset. The Summit is designed to attract ADR practitioners, judges, lawyers, in-house counsel, policymakers, academics and business persons for a comprehensive discussion on promoting the use of mediation, arbitration and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. The Summit will be an enriching experience for participants as it will eventually facilitate them in increasing their existing framework of knowledge and expand their horizon beyond general approach. The Summit will also serve as a prime academic platform for the exchange of ideas and research outcome pertaining to the wide-range of ADR trends and options.
