During the period of practice as an Advocate with the qualification of M.A.(Political Science) and LL.B, handled many Arbitration cases and thus gained experience in Arbitration laws. When directly elevated to the post of District and Sessions Judge from the Bar, had opportunity to deal with Arbitration matters. Was successful in conducting Mediation and Conciliation and settlements of various disputes as the Chairman of the Legal Services Authority of various districts of Kerala where I have presided. Had opportunity to hear and decide many Arbitration cases that came up before me as a Judge of the Hon’ble High Court of Kerala. After retirement in April, 2007, have been working as Arbitrator and Mediator for different types of Arbitration disputes, and the Awards passed by me as Arbitrator had been upheld by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and the High Court of Kerala.
Always maintain a high standard of excellence, proficiency and impartiality in deciding the disputes that are placed before me for my consideration. The Arbitration proceedings are always completed within the prescribed time limit, under the relevant laws while also giving all the required accommodation to the parties/advocates to place all their contentions.
During the post-retirement period, I have headed various Committees and Commissions of Constitutional importance under the Govt of Kerala.
Worked as the Secretary to Kerala Legislative Assembly, on deputation, during 1992-96. Participated in various international, national and state seminars, conferences and workshops on Law, Legislature and Judicial matters including Arbitration related subjects.
At present, I am an Individual Life Member of Indian Council of Arbitration, New Delhi with no. IL/ICA/2123 and also a member of Indian Institute of Arbitration and Mediation, Kochi, Kerala.
I possess knowledge and experience in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
